Biography

With professional singers for parents, Susie Knight debuted on stage at the wee age of three.  Voice, dance, and piano lessons enhanced her early years, and by the time she was 13, she was writing her own songs and winning local talent contests.  At 17, she sang and danced her way throughout Europe with the Talented Teens USA. At 19, she was crowned the 1979 Berwyn/Cicero Houby Queen.  Since January, 1999, Susie has been performing as a full-time professional clown specializing in comedy skits, balloon creations, face painting, songs with puppets, and clown magic at birthday parties, restaurants, schools, corporate events, and festivals.

Susie Knight is an active member of the World Clown Association, the Colorado Clowns, the Clown Guild of Metropolitan Chicago.

WATOOSIE, Susie's whiteface circus-style clown, is adored by children of all ages.  Her silly antics, hilarious skits, and mysifying magical tricks (that mystify even her!) keeps 'em laughing from start to finish.   When it comes to birthday parties, Watoosie the Clown gives 110% to ensure joyful and treasured memories are created for the Birthday Child and his/her family and friends.

Okay, some children are "scared of clowns".  Rest assured, Susie Knight is an expert at deflecting her movements and eye contact away from an apprehensive child to give them a chance to see that she's funny, makes mistakes, and will NOT force herself upon him/her.  

But, to take it a step further, a customer may choose Susie Knight's new-and-improved WATOOSIE II in Lite makeup. 

Same costume, same show, same clown!  Just softer makeup minus the curly, purple wig.

 A genuine cowgirl who has worked on ranches in Colorado, Wisconsin, Illinois, and South Dakota, Susie has developed a character: "Lasso the Cowgirl". Audiences from pre-schoolers to senior citizens have been caught hootin' and hollerin' during her all-original, knee-slappin', toe-tappin' shows.
